ABOUT

My name is Pedrameh Allen, founder of City on a Hill Art and Coaching. With the support of my precious husband Dennis, I am excited to share this vision with Galveston and the larger Galveston County, our city on a hill. Each day I try to bring the light of God to my job with my coworkers and customers, just as I am blessed by the light they bring to me. I have been cashiering at Walmart for about five years now and I love my job because I get to meet so many wonderful people and serve them in hospitality, which is a joy to me. However, I have other things I am passionate about too!

Before this, I taught high school art for several years, leaving only to pursue my new found faith in Christ. I became a believer in 2011 and soon felt led to leave teaching for what eventually became an effort to become a biblical counselor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Art Education. After many years of experiences working with younger kids and even going to seminary for some time, I discovered Christian coaching certification allows me to be richly prepared to serve even as I pursue schooling.

I am now a certified Master Mental Health and Life Coach through the American Association for Christian Counselors and the International Board of Christian Care. I am also a student in the Master’s program in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University. In this way I will be prepared to serve even more people as a Licensed Professional Counselor one day even as I continue to be a Christian Coach.

City on a Hill is a chance for me to share the gifts of art, teaching, and counseling that I feel God has given me to serve my community. So, this year we have set up a studio and coaching space for the ministry in our home in Galveston on Ave S and 34th. Coaching will be one on one or with a couple, and art classes will not be more than 2 students at a time. Please explore the various exciting art lessons I have developed for this year and learn more about Christian coaching in our website.

This ministry is an extension of the First Baptist Church of Port Bolivar, where my husband is the pastor. It is supported by the church. Coaching and art classes are provided as a free ministry. If you feel led or are able to donate, we are so grateful for your support in helping us serve our community. No matter what, being available to you is our priority. Feel free to contact me at 214-418-9521 or by email at pedrameh@hotmail.com to schedule a class or session today! Thank you so much for visiting our site. I hope to meet you soon!
