Have you ever been fascinated by the beauty of an artwork and thought, “Would I ever be able to learn to make something like this?” If you’re experience level is a beginner, I’d love to work with you! I spent years teaching complete beginners in high school Art I to create wonderful art. They were often amazed at what they were capable of! I was not surprised, and it is my joy to guide you through the same experience to create something beautiful and meaningful you will be proud to share!
I have developed several exciting lessons for this year: if you click on the links below, you will find a short description about each project. Projects take place on 5 Saturday mornings and classes will have no more than 2 students. Classes will be held at our studio on 34th and Ave S from 9am-10:30am. They are all focused on drawing, painting, or collage/mixed media. In each lesson, we will begin by looking at a short scriptural introduction to the meaning in the artwork. Then we will learn art theory and techniques. As you work on your project, I will help guide your art making. Finally, we will celebrate!
As this is a ministry, there is no charge for the classes. We are grateful for any donation to our ministry you would like to offer if you can afford it. I suggest a supply fee of $25 to help me cover the cost for materials. But again, we will cover it if you cannot afford it.
