Have you ever been fascinated by the beauty of an artwork and thought, “Would I ever be able to learn to make something like this?” If you’re experience level is a beginner, I’d love to work with you! I spent years teaching complete beginners in high school Art I to create wonderful art. They were often amazed at what they were capable of! I was not surprised, and it is my joy to guide you through the same experience to create something beautiful and meaningful you will be proud to share!
I have developed several exciting lessons for this year: if you click on the links below, you will find a short description about each project. Projects take place on 3-5 Saturday mornings and classes are private lessons so each class will have one student. I like to get coffee before we begin to get to know one another better since we will be spending some time together working and creating! Classes will be held at our studio on 34th and Ave S from 9am-10:30am. They are all focused on drawing, painting, or collage/mixed media. In each lesson, we will begin by looking at a short scriptural introduction to the meaning in the artwork. Then we will learn art theory and techniques. As you work on your project, I will help guide your art making. Finally, we will celebrate!
As this is a ministry, there is no charge for the classes. We are grateful for any donation to our ministry you would like to offer if you can afford it. I suggest a supply fee of $25 to help me cover the cost for materials. But again, we will cover it if you cannot afford it.
