Clothed In Majesty

In Matthew 6:28-29, Jesus states, “And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.” Thus, we learn how God sees fit to cloth the humble flower! In this lesson, we will not only meditate on the beauty God has worked into his precious flowers, but we will also learn how amazingly God has clothed us as His children.

We will use soft pastels to create two beautiful artworks that will reflect our own creativity interpreting His creation uniquely. One artwork will be an abstracted close up of a flower still life, and the other will be an impressionistic realism of a field of flowers. You will get to choose your own source images or you can use ones I have too. We will learn some color theory and practice blending pastels. You will get access to high quality pastels (they make all the difference) and all paper and still life materials.
