As we go into this wonderful new year of 2026, I want to celebrate this one word that God has given me to dedicate to this new year- Thrive! That is what God has called us to- an abundant life! In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” In this lesson, we will learn through scripture exactly how God has blessed us with this abundant life and what it means for us in this new year. We will then use black ink to create a beautiful script of our word of the year (of course, you’re welcome to create a new script of any word you feel God is giving you if it is different) and then we will embellish it with a variety of beautiful flowers learning to blend colored pencils. This project is simple, fun, and relaxing for any art level. It does require a steady hand and ability to focus on detail.
