Throughout the Bible and in our lives, God shows us His great creative ability to take separate strands and aspects and details of our lives and weave them into a beautiful tapestry that you wouldn’t imagine just looking at the pieces. He weaves His Word and our lives together wonderfully! In this class you will get to explore the exciting process of weaving together many different media to create a beautifully woven artwork that glorifies God!
We will first learn the collaging process using magazine images and words. Then we will create a mixed media representation of one of your favorite scriptures, hymns, or a meaningful life memory or experience. You will learn many different techniques to create a mixed media collage. You will most definitely love your final piece as these techniques are very easy to learn!
This lesson will have no homework and will be completed over 4 Sat mornings starting June 7th -28th. If you are able to help us with a $25 supply fee, we are grateful. You will take home two artworks (one will be on an 11×14 canvas) and have access to a wide arrangement of mixed media supplies.
